Mishael's Electrolysis Center
Mishael's Electrolysis Center was established in Atlanta Georgia in 1984. Over the years we successfully provided permanent hair removal to thousands of clients in Metro Atlanta and the Southeast and their satisfaction and referrals helped us grow from one to five electrologists. We treat men, women, teenagers, and specialize in the treatment of African Americans and Transgender individuals.

Electrolyis is the only method approved by the FDA to permanently remove unwanted hair. However it is only 100% permanent if done properly by a qualified electrologist. In addition, electrolysis is a very-cost effective method of hair removal in which unwanted hair can be permanently removed from most body areas. Unlike laser hair removal, electrolysis treats ALL types of hair including blond, grey, and red hair.

Our experienced Certified Professional Electrologists (CPE) sincerely care about solving your unwanted hair problem. We utilize fast and effective techniques that have been developed over 37 years to provide unparalleled permanent results you can count on!
Services
Ahoova and Abraham (Avie) Mishael founded Mishael's Electrolysis Center in 1984 in Atlanta Georgia.
Ahoova is a Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE) who also trains the electrologists and manages the office while Avie manages the business.
When they founded the company, Avie was a graduate student at Georgia Tech, where he earned a Master of Architecture degree and Ahoova was a part-time teacher and did electrolysis part-time.
Ahoova's great electrolysis treatments and excellent permanent results spread quickly by word-of-mouth and Mishael's Electrolysis Center grew to five full-time electrologists.
At Mishael's Electrolysis Center, LLC, we offer the best services and results that come from over 45 combined years of electrolysis experience.
We treat men, women, and teenagers and we specialize in the treatment of African Americans and transgender individuals.
We also offer pre-surgery electrolysis treatments for transgender individuals.
The overall cost of our treatments is tied to each individual's recommended treatment program.
We offer complimentary consultations where we will answer any questions you may have and discuss the optimum program to achieve the results you desire.
A fine filament is inserted along the side of the hair follicle and you shouldn't feel it.
Proper insertions do not penetrate your skin when done correctly.
Current is applied to the filament and that's the only part of the treatment you should feel.
The current can be adjusted to keep you comfortable.
If the electrologist inserted the filament properly and applied the appropriate amount of current, the hair will slide out and not be plucked or pulled.
It typically requires several treatments to permanently remove all the hair from a given area.
Did you know that the FDA says the laser only provides "permanent hair reduction"?
According to the American Electrology Associatioin (AEA), Laser promoters compare laser to electrolysis, although laser assisted hair removal is considered a temporary method.
It has not been evaluated for long-term safety of the patient's skin and health.
This newer technology may seem like a competitor, but electrolysis is the ONLY method approved by the FDA for "permanent hair removal" since 1875!
In addition, unlike laser, electrolysis can treat ingrown hair as well as ALL types of hair including blond, grey, and red hair.
It is normal for the skin to be slightly red and swollen after electrolysis treatments.
These conditions usually disappear in an hour or two but may last longer.
It's important to avoid any activity that would subject the treated skin to irritating conditions while it is in the healing stage.
The following post treatment care should be followed for the first 24 to 48 hours depending on the area treated.
Keep the area clean with suitable antiseptics such as Witch-Hazel, Hydrogen Peroxide, alcohol, or soap and water.
