In 2001 I decided I wanted to attend beauty school, I had been attending Metro State College in Denver for 3.5 yrs and also was working a 9-5 job and decided this path wasn't for me. I wanted to be creative, make people look and feel beautiful, and I definitely did not want to be in a traditional office type of setting. Now, almost two decades later I look back and realize it was the best decision I could have made.
To me, being a hairstylist is not a "job" its a lifestyle, it's about building a professional relationship with my client. Having trust between my client and I is vital, it's the heartbeat of our time together. My clients on average spend 45 min-3 hours with me and during that time we are talking about life, love, cracking jokes, talking about music, or sometimes we don't talk much at all.
My forte is assessing what my customer needs. First and most important, communication, we discuss long and short term hair goals and then second, we have fun! Last and not least, the icing on the cake, my client leaves looking and feeling their absolute best!
