The State of Florida requires 200 hours of practicum and 120 hours of academic learning for certification and licensing as an Electrologist. Certification in Laser Hair Removal requires an additional 30 hours plus two certification exams. To retain certification and licensing, 75 hours of continuing education credits are required every five years.
