We have been training Barber-Stylist students since 1979 and we are proud of the thousands of students who have reached their goals and graduated. We welcome you to join our team here at New Tyler Barber College, Inc., a hair stylist college in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Many have advanced and are now Salon Owners, Platform Artists, Product Representatives, and Beauty Supply Owners.

New Tyler's management and teaching staff are here to assist you in the pursuit of your goal to become a knowledgeable, successful, Barber-Stylist. Our Arkansas barber college is a modern up-to-date facility with accents of history displayed in the Barber Chairs from the past. You will experience haircutting and hairstyling in a salon/barbershop atmosphere which is a continuous lesson in professionalism.

The foundation for which you begin and build your career must be solid and with over 30 years of experience as a hairstylist college and over 100 years of combined experience from the Instructors, we are equipped to provide you with that foundation.
Services
The goal of NEW TYLER is to provide you with the education necessary to become a qualified, successful hairstylist.
The course of instruction is intended to qualify students for the Arkansas State Barber Boards' written and practical examinations.
After satisfactorily passing these exams, the student is issued a Registered Barber's License from the Arkansas State Board of Barber Examiners.
It is the policy of this school to continue the tradition it is recognized for.
We try to instill dedication in each student to provide the most comfortable and top quality services the school can offer.
The art of haircutting involves individualized and precise designing, cutting, and shaping of the hair.
We Teach: Being Aware of Children's Nature, Anticipating Movements, and Haircutting Helpful Hints.
We Teach: Sanitary and Safety Precautions, Cutting Positions and Strokes with a Straight Razor and the 14 Shaving Areas of the Face.
Prospective students are requested to apply for admission at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of class.
On the initial interview, the applicant has a personal interview with a school official and a tour of the school is given.
Prospective students are encouraged to carefully consider enrolling in the course to be certain this is the career they would like to pursue.
Your application for enrollment must be accompanied by a $35.00 admission fee and a $20.00 Arkansas State Board Permit fee.
Colleges may not receive anything of value from any lending institution in exchange for any advantage sought by the lending institution.
Lenders cannot pay to get on a school's preferred lender list.
College employees may not take anything, including trips, of more than nominal value from any lending institution, when such things are offered in connection with the employees' financial aid work.
College employees with responsibility for financial aid work may not receive anything of value for serving on the advisory board of any lending institution.
The Barber-Stylist Program course covers 1500 clock hours of instruction as required by the Arkansas State Board of Barber Examiners.
It takes approximately 12 months of theory instruction and practical applications to complete the course.
This program provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to satisfactorily pass an examination by the Arkansas State Board of Barber Examiners.
The fee for this examination is $125.00.
Upon satisfactory completion of this examination, the graduate is qualified to work as a barber in many different career opportunities.
